Christian NEEDS and WANTS

I was praying another day asking God to give me something when I paused to think about why I had prayed for so long without getting what I wanted. I remembered how my life had been and how those we were in college together were having  good jobs while I was struggling with a boss. I had sought the lord for a better job for almost a year yet there were no signs. The devil was attacking me in the night to ensure that I did not prosper in the lord. Thank God the more he pressurized me the more God revealed truths to me. So in tears overwhelmed by the fact that my job was not good and before the lord, he spoke to me about this two important words which made me  change the ay I pray.

You don't need another Job but you want another Job.

I sat amazed on a stone since I was praying in a forest. At first I did not understand until later when the lord amazingly gave me a better Job and I realized that even the better job did not come with every good desire of the body. The lord came again and  revealed what he was talking about and I was like Wow! How beautiful is the plan of God. When the lord revealed the reason why I was in that former Job I realized the reason why I stayed there for a longer period. I then understood that I needed it but never wanted it.

Now as a child of God God provides everything you need at the time of need even without you asking for. Unfortunately you never know what you need unless you are led by he spirit of God. Sometimes you may never want what you need but  believe you me It will be part of you. God knows what is good for you and he is faithful to give it out. Now who defines good and evil? We define physical pain as evil but God may find it good for you. No wonder Paul wrote to the Romans saying that all things work for good for those who believe. All things!! Yes all things not some. This is the reason why some of children of God go through deep pain and no matter how we pray for them they do not have it taken away from them. It is until god's purpose is accomplished when its lifted. I am talking about children Of God at whatever level or age. To some God has to give a sickness so that they can believe that he heals while others he can give pain to teach them to trust in him. Look at Job. God allowed the devil to act on him to have his name glorified. See what Job  said at the end: " I had heard of thee by hearing of the ear, but now I see thee"

This is what I learned:

• We mostly pray for our wants and not our needs


• We get what we need From God immediately we need it


• We may never need what we want.


• If we covet then its for what we don't need

I asked myself several questions like:

• Why sinners have a lot of money to waste than Christians


• Why do the evil men not struggle to get rich


• Why do some problems go when one comes to Christ?


• Why do Christians often get sick


• Why cant a christian do a evil thing and it fails to get known like the evil do?

The lord continued answering me this questions
