What does the cross of Jesus mean to
you? What does the death mean? What does the resurrection mean to you?
Well I know it means liberty and salvation. But I will give a deeper
insight about this as well as wipe away some fake beliefs in Christians
today. I will be precise because of time:
When God saw that man was
in bondage and needed help, he decided to come and help them out. So he
send Christ to do that. But it was to be executed in a unique way.
How? Christ would come in the form of a body like ours, live among us,
teach us some things and show us how to do it then leave. He came to
show us how to go about the liberation process and did a practical for
us. Every Chemistry teacher does teach theory and then the practical.
That does not mean the students don’t have to do the practical. The
teacher did it for the students, but the students are to do a practical
for themselves.
So the same thing happened, Christ fought the
devils for us as an example; as a practical lesson. He showed us how to
disarm them and display them publicly. He showed us how to go about it.
He started by overcoming the basics namely; food, sleep, conflicts,
confrontations all through to the majors; demons around him on the
cross. Living he walked in victory, but had a mandate to go to the world
of the dead also, through to the grave. Having shed his blood, he
sealed a covenant for our liberty, paying the debt (the fees for the
course and practical). We are free from bondage of the devil, but we are
obligated to use the weapons and power to reinforce the victory. It is
at this point where we fail. When we fail to exercise authority thinking
that Christ will come and do it for us. We fail to cast out devils
until they shift and start living with us. We fail to rule over Satan
letting him take advantage of our ignorance and rule. Having the fees
paid does not guarantee that one passes their Exam.
Our God paid the
fees and send a teacher to come and teach us both theory and practical
lesson. He came with his lab equipment’s and taught the syllabus to
completion. The only Ransom that would settle the fees once and for all
was the blood of the teacher. So after teaching theory and practicals he
went through the process of paying the fees. While in the process his
blood was shed, thus cancelling the bond and al it legal demands.
So the fees having been paid, the lessons having been taught, the
students have a responsibility not to pay the fees but to study and do
both theory exams and practicals. We are obligated to preaching the
gospel, casting out devils, healing the sick etc. If Jesus, did it for
us, why did he tell us to go and do the same?
Yeah, we need knowledge in every matter.
Now demons are spirits and spirits do not die. The battle with spirits
is a game of every day. A game of reinforcing Justice; a game of forcing
rule. A game of walking in victory. If anyone fails in the walk the
devil takes advantage and ruins their score card. The report card reads
Ds and Es. They then believe that scoring an A or a B in the game of
life is for some chosen few. It is not. Everyone can score an A in
healing the sick, casting out demons, walking in victory, preaching the
gospel. Yes. It is possible. We should not think of one part being easy
while the other is hard. It’s like saying Algebra is hard but Chemistry
is easy. That is a mere lie. All subjects can be passed.
The ruler
of this world is ruthless and brutal. As long as one has accepted to
learn in this institution, he directly becomes an enemy. The devil who
failed the exam wants men to fail also. Despite the fact that Christ
score a clean A, the devil wants all people to score Es.
To win in
the game of life one has to reinforce justice. Has to put the devil
outside the school fence and study uninterrupted. The lord gave us the
skills, he hired us solders, but left them under our authority. If we do
not instruct them to guard the estate, how will they do it? Or shall we
presume that Christ will come and instruct them for us? That is called
ignorance. The Lord will not come and instruct our angels to pursue the
enemy or flush him out. It is us to do that. Again on the same note,
even with the angels around us and the weapons at hand, the demons of
the devil are careless, stiff necked, rude timid and arrogant beings.
They do not understand instructions. They despise instruction. They can
only be moved out by force and violence. It is for this reason that John
the Baptist said that the kingdom suffers violence.
So how violent
are you? Are you still believing that Jesus did it all and you need to
do nothing? Such kind of Christians exhibit severe failures, no joy, no
peace, no wealth, and no health. They swim in debts and sicknesses. The
word of God can never be true in their lives. The actions surrounding
them are not out of faith but out of desperation. Their faith is without
actions. They preach a big God who seems never to work for them. And
these people, living by illusions and delusions, find it hard to fully
believe the word of God or prove to the heathen. They need only one
thing. To rise and follow the example of Jesus. In his days, he offered
deep cries to God, to him who was able to save him from sin. They need
to know the secrets behind his success, which are on the public domain.
He walked in victory because he prayed more, he preached more, and he
had to fast, offering deep cries with loud voice, not praying cheap
prayers but a Godly cry, to him who was able to save him. And y one more
thing, he was established… It is written “He was heard because of his
Godly fear.
